Job Description:
Belhasa Joinery is seeking a qualified Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across factory and project sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce HSE policies and procedures on site and in the factory
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and company standards
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports
- Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure safe work practices
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer (construction/Wooden joinery preferred)
- Valid safety certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent
- Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple sites
Preferred:
- Experience in Wooden joinery & interior fit-out projects
- First Aid and Fire Safety certifications
