Job Purpose
To ensure safe day-to-day operations across steel fabrication, manufacturing, and coating facilities by actively monitoring shopfloor practices, enforcing compliance, and supporting HSE systems implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety inspections and report deviations
- Assist in risk assessments and job safety analysis.
- Investigate incidents and support root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and certifications
- Support audits and maintain basic HSE documentation and reporting.
- Monitor waste handling and environmental controls
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions
- Enforce PPE and safe work practices
- Willing to challenge unsafe practices.
- Accountability for closing actions.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
- Strong shopfloor presence (must be visible)
- Ability to identify unsafe acts quickly and intervene
- Conduct effective toolbox talks
- Attention to detail
- Good communication with workers
- Ability to handle multiple sites.
Experience & Education requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Engineering
- 1-2 years of UAE experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent
