Safety Officer Jobs in Dubai at DESIGN MART CONTRACTING LLC
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our growing interior fit-out team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of workplace health and safety, site inspections, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with UAE safety regulations on interior fit-out projects.
Candidates currently in the UAE are encouraged to apply. Applicants with relevant fit-out or construction safety experience gained in their home country are welcome, even if they do not have prior UAE work experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across interior fit-out project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and implement risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for site personnel.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and clients on all safety-related matters.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits, and other HSE documentation.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, local authority regulations, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Promote a positive safety culture and encourage continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- Experience as a Safety Officer in interior fit-out, finishing, or building construction projects.
- Candidates with relevant overseas (home country) experience are encouraged to apply.
- Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, hazard identification, and risk assessment procedures.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- UAE Driving License is an advantage but not mandatory.
