ABOUT THE COMPANY :

M Beauty Salon is a heritage ladies’ salon in Sharjah, established in 1984 and serving three generations of clients. Following a full renovation and the introduction of new booking, CRM and marketing systems, we are expanding our service menu into advanced skin, body and wellness treatments. We are hiring a General Manager to lead that expansion and take the business to its next revenue stage.

ROLE SUMMARY :

You will run the salon end to end team, service delivery, revenue and client experience and lead the launch of new advanced treatments, including the licensing and certification work required to deliver them legally in Sharjah. This is a commercial role with a revenue target, not an administrative one.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Commercial and sales :

  • Own the monthly revenue target and deliver against a weekly plan.
  • Increase average bill value through consultation, treatment upgrades and add-on services.
  • Convert incoming WhatsApp, Instagram and Meta enquiries into confirmed appointments, and track the conversion rate.
  • Move the salon from walk-in dependency to an appointment-first model, including deposits on high-value bookings.
  • Launch and sell membership and package programmes.
  • Build retail sales of professional skincare and haircare products.
  • Drive rebooking — every client leaves with the next appointment booked.
  • Coordinate with the external marketing agency and hold it accountable on cost per enquiry, cost per booking and revenue generated.

New treatments :

  • Assess, price, procure and launch new service categories, with a written business case for each covering equipment cost, cost per treatment, room or chair time, price point and breakeven volume.
  • Categories in scope: advanced facials (hydradermabrasion, microdermabrasion,superficial peels, dermaplaning, LED and light therapy), IPL and laser hair removal, radiofrequency and skin tightening, body contouring, pressotherapy and lymphaticdrainage, scalp and hair health programmes, lash and brow services.
  • Relaunch and reposition the Moroccan bath and hammam offering.
  • Arrange supplier and manufacturer training for the team on every new treatment.

Licensing and compliance :

  • Establish the regulatory pathway for each new treatment and device with Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Economic Development Department and the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
  • Recommend and execute the correct licence route — salon licence upgrade, beauty centre classification, or a separate clinic licence.
  • Maintain staff certifications, labour card designations and treatment-specific training records.
  • Keep the salon inspection-ready at all times: hygiene and sterilisation, product registration, client consent and medical history records.
  • Track renewals for trade licence, tenancy, civil defence and insurance.

Operations :

  • Manage daily floor operations, opening and closing discipline, and the staff rota built against demand patterns.
  • Enforce standard operating procedures for every service.
  • Manage stock, consumables, supplier pricing and wastage control.
  • Maintain accurate booking, POS and CRM data.
  • Submit daily and weekly reports to the owner: revenue by department, staff productivity, cancellations and no-shows, enquiry conversion.

Team :

  • Lead and develop a multinational team of 21 and growing.
  • Recruit qualified therapists for the new treatment categories.
  • Run a monthly training calendar covering technical skill, consultation and sales technique
  • Set individual revenue and retention targets, review weekly, and manage performance.
  • Design commission and incentive structures.

Requirements :

Essential / Mandatory

  • 5–10 years managing a salon, medispa, day spa or aesthetic clinic, with at least 2 years in the UAE or GCC.
  • Direct experience introducing new treatments or devices commercially you selected the equipment, set the pricing, trained the team and filled the appointment book.
  • A track record against a revenue target, with the ability to explain how it was achieved.
  • Working knowledge of UAE beauty and aesthetics licensing, including where the salon licence ends and the clinic licence begins.
  • People management of a frontline team of 15 or more, including recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Able to read a P&L, calculate treatment margin and manage a cost base.
  • Fluent English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu strongly advantageous given the client base.
  • Confident with salon booking software, POS and CRM systems, and comfortable working from reports.

Preferred :

  • Beauty therapy, aesthetics or spa management qualification — CIDESCO, ITEC, NVQ or equivalent.
  • Experience completing a salon licence upgrade or clinic licence application in the UAE.
  • Previous work in Sharjah or the Northern Emirates.
  • Existing relationships with beauty equipment distributors and professional product brands.
  • Experience with membership or subscription models.
  • UAE driving licence.

Salary and Benefits :

  • Fixed salary: AED 10,000 – 12,000 per month, inclusive of housing and transport allowance.
  • Performance bonus: AED 2,000 – 8,000 per month, based on monthly revenue achievement.
  • On-target earnings: AED 12,000 – 20,000 per month.
  • Additional milestone bonuses on securing the licence upgrade and on each new treatment category reaching target volume.
  • Employment visa, medical insurance, annual leave, annual return air ticket and end-of- service gratuity as per UAE Labour Law.
