Prepare and implement safety and health plans and programs for projects.
* Identify and evaluate hazards and establish appropriate safety procedures.
* Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures at work sites.
* Conduct regular inspections and monitor violations and their closure.
* Investigate incidents and injuries, and prepare reports and recommendations.
* Prepare and analyze risk assessments and permits to work.
* Oversee the implementation of safety procedures in excavation work, work at heights, electrical work, confined spaces, and lifting operations.
* Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Implement safety training and awareness programs for all employees.
* Prepare reports and statistics related to safety indicators and elevate them to management.
* Coordinate with consulting and governmental agencies regarding safety requirements.
* Monitor the readiness of fire-fighting equipment and emergency evacuation plans.
* Participate in safety meetings and review work plans from a safety perspective.
* Halt operations that pose an immediate danger to workers or assets, and promptly notify management.
