About the Business
CH2M HILL Risk Manager – Doha, Qatar
Qatar will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup™ Football and become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. The associated construction programme will be part of a major country regeneration programme including the development of required infrastructure and non-competitive venues.
CH2M Hill is the programme management contractor (PMC) responsible for the management of competition precincts, training venues, associated common domain precincts, Operations, Post Games Works and the coordination of the regeneration programme integration works, acting on behalf of the client Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee.
This position is responsible for effectively and proactively managing, controlling, and reporting on the planning and scheduling activities for the concurrent projects throughout the programme. The Planning and Scheduling Engineer must have expert knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Excel and Sur Trak. Additionally, the Planning and Scheduling Engineer must have demonstrated the ability to work independently on complex project plans.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
General
Experience:
Minimum 10 years experience in construction and engineering, 7 of those years in assessing and mitigating risk.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles and discipline of project scheduling.
Ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience with MS Access and/or MS Excel.
Experience working in a programme management office.
Must have ability to evaluate and develop risks.
Experience working on large-scale programmes.
Extensive knowledge of Deltek Active Risk Manager and Primavera P6.
Experience working within the Middle East.
Must be able to travel via air and ground.
Must be physically able to work in extreme climate.
