Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Receivership Accountant to join our finance team in Al Wakrah. This role is essential in managing entities under receivership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, safeguarding assets, and supporting the recovery and restructuring process. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to navigate complex financial situations with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial operations of entities under receivership, ensuring proper control and documentation of assets
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations related to receivership cases
- Monitor cash flow, creditor claims, and asset liquidation processes
- Coordinate with legal teams, court-appointed receivers, and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and applicable regulatory requirements
- Maintain detailed and accurate accounting records throughout the receivership process
- Assist in developing strategies to maximize asset recovery and minimize financial losses
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in receivership, insolvency, restructuring, or forensic accounting
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS) and recovery processes
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
