Job Summary
Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and bid submissions for steel, façade, and MEP-related works by analyzing tender documents, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and supporting the tendering and post-tender process in line with project requirements and regional standards.
Responsibilities
- Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work, and contract conditions.
- Prepare BOMs, quantity take-offs, direct cost estimates, and man-hour calculations.
- Issue enquiries, analyze technical and commercial quotations, and prepare comparative statements.
- Prepare technical clarifications, attend pre-tender meetings, conduct site visits, and address tender discrepancies.
- Prepare complete technical and commercial bid submissions and post-tender clarifications.
- Coordinate with construction and operations teams to align execution methods with estimates.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in estimation within the Middle East construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of steel, façade, and MEP systems and regional standards.
- Proficiency in estimation tools and MS Excel; ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
