Job Profile
- Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Technician – Phone Refurbishment

- Reports To: QC Supervisor or Production Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Closure Internal Audit: Inspect internal layouts before final sealing to ensure all parts, screws, and shields are securely fixed.
- Cosmetic Inspection: Check phone bodies, screens, and backs for scratches, dents, or cracks. Assign accurate cosmetic grades (e.g., Grade A, B, C).
- Manual Functional Testing: Perform tactile hands-on checks for physical buttons, switches, and device alignment.
- Component Health Verification: Test battery health percentages, biometric sensors (Face ID/Fingerprint), and network connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular).
- Defect Reporting: Log defective or non-conforming units, route them back to repair technicians, and document daily inspection metrics.
Internal Part Fixation Checklist (Pre-Closure)
- Screw & Shield Verification: Ensure all internal grounding screws, bracket shields, and plates are present and torqued correctly.
- Connector Seating: Verify that flex cables (battery, screen, digitizer, charging port) are fully seated and locked into the logic board.
- Adhesive & Gasket Inspection: Confirm battery pull-tabs and frame adhesive gaskets are properly aligned without bunching or missing sections.
- Component Stability: Check that the vibration motor (Taptic Engine), speakers, and camera modules are tightly secured to prevent internal rattling.
- Debris & Thermal Control: Ensure the internal housing is completely free of dust, fingerprint oils, and stray metal shavings before closing.
Manual Testing Duties
- Tactile & Button Testing: Press and verify responsiveness of power buttons, volume keys, and mute switches. Check for sticky or loose housing.
- Audio & Mic Verification: Make test calls and record voice memos. Listen closely to internal earpieces, external speakers, and microphones for static or distortion.
- Camera & Sensor Evaluation: Manually capture test photos with front and rear cameras. Check zoom functions, flash operation, and proximity sensors during mock calls.
- Display & Touch Calibration: Perform manual swipe tests across the entire screen grid. Check for dead zones, screen lifting, backlight bleeding, and true color accuracy.
- Port & Connection Stress Tests: Plug and unplug charging cables and headphones multiple times. Verify tight physical fit, charging status continuity, and data transfer.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 2+ years working in mobile phone repair, testing, or electronic quality control.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of internal smartphone anatomy, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety practices, and precision hand tools.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong sensory perception (sight/hearing), and ability to meet daily output targets.
- Education: High school diploma; technical certifications in electronics or mobile repair are a plus.
Pay: AED2,000.00 – AED3,000.00 per month
