QS / Tender Estimator – Civil

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Tender Estimator with a Civil Engineering degree and strong UAE experience in tendering, estimation and quantity surveying, preferably within a contracting/construction environment.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling tenders from quantity take-off and costing through to final tender submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs and cost estimates for civil and construction projects.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, scope of work and BOQs.
- Prepare detailed project costing and tender submissions.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare tender comparison sheets and Tender Summary Sheets.
- Analyse material, labour, subcontractor and other project costs.
- Identify discrepancies, exclusions, variations and commercial risks within tender documents.
- Prepare rate analysis and pricing for BOQ items.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Operations teams to obtain technical and commercial inputs.
- Ensure tenders are submitted accurately and within deadlines.
- Maintain proper records of tender documents, quotations and estimation files.
- Support Management with commercial analysis and recommendations during tender evaluation.
- Assist with post-tender clarifications, negotiations and revisions where required.
- Maintain a database of rates, suppliers, subcontractors and historical project costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying / Tender Estimation.
- Strong experience in civil contracting and construction tendering.
- UAE experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis and project costing.
- Experience obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and estimation tools/software.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to independently manage multiple tenders and meet strict submission deadlines.
Salary: Up to AED 10,000, depending on experience and suitability.
Candidates who do not have a Civil Engineering degree or do not have strong UAE Civil Construction tender estimation experience will not be considered.
Pay: AED7,000.00 – AED10,000.00 per month
