About the Role
We are looking for a QHSE Chemist / Chemical Engineer with a strong laboratory and industrial background to support and oversee Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at our manufacturing site.
The ideal candidate will combine technical chemical knowledge with practical QHSE experience, ensuring compliance with company standards, Saudi regulations, and applicable ISO requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain calibration and control records for laboratory and site equipment.
- Conduct quality testing for raw materials and finished products.
- Troubleshoot laboratory and related equipment.
- Support product corrections to ensure products meet required specifications and internal procedures.
- Manage laboratory chemical stocks and ensure proper storage and handling.
- Support chemical safety, hazardous materials handling, and waste management activities.
- Monitor workplace safety, environmental compliance, and QHSE requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support incident investigations and implementation of preventive measures.
- Maintain QHSE documentation, records, and procedures.
- Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements and audits.
- Support internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi laws, permits, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a focal point with relevant governmental and regulatory authorities, as required.
- Maintain SAP records related to materials and support material relabeling/data entry.
- Promote a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.
- Monitor QHSE KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in QHSE, laboratory, chemical, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Strong laboratory technical background with practical experience in chemical testing and handling.
- Experience with chemical safety, hazardous materials, waste management, and environmental requirements.
- Good understanding of QHSE practices and industrial safety.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, is preferred.
- ISO, OSHA, or other relevant QHSE certifications are preferred.
- Good understanding of Saudi QHSE and regulatory requirements.
- Very good English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
