Job Summary:We are looking for a reliable and proactive Purchase Officer with 5-7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management tojoin our teamin Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.

What you will do?

Procurement Management:
Oversee and manage the procurement process, including sourcing, ordering, and receiving materials, goods, and services for the company.

Supplier Coordination:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Cost Control:
Monitor and control procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure purchasing is carried out within budget.

Inventory Management:
Ensure adequate stock levels of essential materials, monitor inventory, and manage the reorder process to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Order Processing:
Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure all purchased items meet company specifications and quality standards.

Vendor Selection & Evaluation:
Identify potential suppliers, conduct market research, and evaluate vendors based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability.

Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, prepare purchase reports, and ensure timely submission of reports to management.

Compliance & Policies:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations, including import/export requirements.

Negotiation:
Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible prices, terms, and delivery schedules.

Problem Resolution:
Address any issues related to delivery, quality, or discrepancies with suppliers and ensure timely resolution.

What you will need?

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

5-7 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally in Qatar or the Gulf region.

Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and local supplier networks.

Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Excellent negotiation,communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills andattention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of Qatar’s import/export regulations and local market conditions is a plus.

Previous experience in purchasing for construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries.

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
