Project Manager – Architectural & Engineering Consultancy

We are a well-established Architectural and Engineering Design Consultancy based in the UAE, specializing in high-end residential villas, mixed-use buildings, governmental projects, F&B, and retail spaces. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of multiple medium-scale projects.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from design development through construction and handover, acting as the primary point of coordination between internal teams, sub-consultants, contractors, and clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent coordination skills, and proven experience managing luxury villa projects in the UAE as a consultant.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from concept design through construction, completion, and handover
- Act as the main point of contact between clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities
- Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist sub-consultants
- Prepare and manage project timelines, work programs, and milestone schedules
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and budgets
- Conduct regular site visits and site supervision to ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs
- Identify risks, delays, and design or construction conflicts and proactively resolve issues
- Chair and prepare minutes for project meetings (client, consultant, and contractor meetings)
- Ensure compliance with UAE authorities’ requirements, approvals, and regulations
- Coordinate with local authorities, developers, and approval bodies when required
- Oversee quality control, design integrity, and consultant deliverables
- Monitor variation orders, changes, and claims in coordination with the commercial team
- Support senior management with project reporting and status updates
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest design and quality standards
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 8–10 years total experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the UAE
- Proven experience managing high-end villa projects as a consultant is mandatory
- Strong background in architectural and engineering consultancy (not contractor-only roles)
- Excellent understanding of UAE construction practices, regulations, and authority approval processes
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in project management tools, MS Office, and scheduling software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
