Job description:
LITCO Group is looking for an experienced Project Execution Engineer to join our team for steel structure projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day project execution, coordinating site operations, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with approved drawings, quality standards, project schedules, and client requirements.
The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in steel structure fabrication, erection, installation, inspection coordination, and end-to-end project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Lead and coordinate steel structure fabrication, erection, and installation activities from planning through final project completion.
- Oversee execution involving structural elements such as columns, beams, trusses, bracing systems, and steel platforms.
- Ensure project activities are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
- Monitor daily site progress and proactively resolve technical or execution-related issues.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.
Technical Coordination
- Review structural drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, IFC drawings, and technical specifications before execution.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and construction teams.
- Identify drawing discrepancies and provide practical solutions to maintain progress.
- Verify site conditions before commencing work.
Inspection & Documentation
- Prepare, submit, and monitor MIR and WIR/WMR documentation.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants, inspectors, clients, and QA/QC teams.
- Ensure inspection approvals are obtained without affecting project schedules.
- Maintain project documentation, progress reports, inspection records, and site correspondence.
Stakeholder & Subcontractor Management
- Supervise subcontractors and monitor productivity, quality, and compliance.
- Coordinate with consultants, inspectors, clients, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure all stakeholders are informed of project progress and technical issues.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all works comply with approved specifications, project quality requirements, and company procedures.
- Coordinate closely with QA/QC and HSE teams to maintain quality and safe work practices.
- Support corrective actions arising from inspections and site observations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong background in steel structure fabrication, erection, and installation projects.
- Proven experience handling projects involving columns, beams, trusses, and structural steel members from planning through final handover.
- Hands-on experience with MIR and WIR/WMR submissions and inspection coordination.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating with consultants, inspectors, and clients.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, IFC drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities while maintaining quality, safety, and project schedules.
