Project Engineer – Landscaping, Swimming Pools & Water FeaturesJob Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Project Engineer to manage and support the execution of landscaping, swimming pools, water features, irrigation, and associated civil works projects across the UAE. The role involves coordinating site activities, ensuring technical compliance, monitoring progress, and supporting the successful delivery of projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Supervise day-to-day site activities across landscaping, swimming pools, water features, irrigation, and civil works.
- Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
- Monitor site progress and report delays, risks, and technical issues to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate mobilization, inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
Site Coordination
- Coordinate with site supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Plan and monitor manpower, materials, and equipment requirements to ensure smooth execution.
- Resolve on-site coordination issues across multiple disciplines.
- Attend site meetings and provide accurate technical updates and progress reports.
Technical Responsibilities
- Review drawings, BOQs, shop drawings, and material submittals prior to execution.
- Ensure all works comply with approved designs, specifications, and client requirements.
- Prepare RFIs, inspection requests, and support method statement development.
- Coordinate with design and procurement teams for approvals and material availability.
Swimming Pool & Water Feature Works
- Supervise installation of swimming pools, pump rooms, filtration systems, fountains, waterfalls, piping networks, pumps, lighting, and control systems.
- Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and performance verification of all systems.
- Coordinate integration with MEP works to ensure seamless execution.
Landscaping & Civil Works
- Supervise hardscape and softscape works including paving, kerbstones, planting, turfing, irrigation systems, and landscape structures.
- Monitor excavation, grading, drainage, and site preparation activities.
- Ensure workmanship meets approved quality standards and project specifications.
Quality & Safety
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
- Enforce HSE policies and UAE safety regulations across all site activities.
- Identify non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions.
Cost Control & Reporting
- Monitor material usage and support efficient resource management.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, schedules, and project documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, daily activities, and as-built data.
- Support project close-out and handover documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–6 years of UAE experience in landscaping, swimming pools, water features, irrigation, or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil works, MEP coordination, and landscape project execution.
- Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple site activities and work under pressure.
- Strong technical understanding of landscaping, irrigation, and pool systems.
- High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
Requirements
- UAE Driving License preferred.
- Strong ability to work on-site and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Immediate availability is an advantage.
