Project Engineer (Civil) – Construction Jobs in Doha at Propel Consult
Responsibilities
· Manage and oversee all civil construction activities at the project site.
· Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
· Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
· Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within established timelines.
· Prepare and update project schedules, work programs, and progress reports.
· Ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and quality standards.
· Supervise site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
· Monitor material requirements, procurement schedules, and site resources.
· Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship standards are maintained.
· Identify technical issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
· Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
· Manage project costs and assist in budget control and cost optimization.
· Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
· Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates to management and clients.
· Verify quantities, prepare progress claims, and support project documentation and reporting.
Assist in project handover, snagging, and close-out activities.
Qualification
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
· Minimum 8 years of experience in building construction projects.
· Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and engineering standards.
· Experience in reinforced concrete structures, finishing works, and MEP coordination.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, and/or MS Project.
Familiarity with quality management and construction safety practices.
