We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to strengthen our project delivery team at our Al Quoz operations base.
Job Summary
We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on Project Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in aluminium and glazing to support the full project lifecycle — from engineering submittals and shop drawing coordination to on-site supervision and installation management. This role demands equal capability in the office and on the field, working closely with the Project Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure every project is delivered to specification, on time, and to the highest quality standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation, review, and submission of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs in coordination with the engineering and design teams.
- Supervise on-site installation of aluminium systems including curtain wall, structural glazing, minimal windows and doors, façade cladding, and related works.
- Monitor daily site progress, coordinate with installation crews and subcontractors, and ensure adherence to the project programme.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship quality, material compliance, and conformance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Attend site meetings with clients, main contractors, and consultants and provide accurate technical updates and progress reports.
- Identify and resolve technical issues on site promptly, escalating to the Project Manager where required.
- Coordinate material deliveries, track on-site material usage, and flag shortages or discrepancies to the logistics and procurement teams.
- Maintain up-to-date site records including daily reports, inspection records, snag lists, and handover documentation.
- Ensure all site activities comply with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Support the Project Manager in tracking project budgets, variations, and change orders.
- Assist in the preparation of progress reports and project documentation for internal and client review.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the aluminium, glazing, façade, or curtain wall industry — UAE experience is essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of aluminium systems including curtain wall, structural glazing, minimal doors and windows, and façade cladding.
- Solid experience managing both technical submittals and on-site supervision simultaneously.
- Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate complex architectural drawings and shop drawings.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards, project documentation processes, and HSE requirements.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of MS Project is an advantage.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to manage multiple tasks on live projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English — Arabic is an advantage.
- Valid UAE driving license is required.
