Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with extensive expertise in the steel fabrication industry to lead and manage projects from initiation to successful completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of structural steel projects according to contractual specifications, drawings, and timelines.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments (engineering, procurement, production, QA/QC, site teams).
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, progress reports, and cost control measures.
- Monitor and control project budgets, resources, and subcontractors.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSE standards, quality requirements, and project milestones.
- Resolve technical and operational issues swiftly to avoid project delays.
- Ensure proper documentation including RFIs, material submittals, method
- statements, and as-built drawings.
- Lead project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders at all levels.
- Manage project close-out including snag list resolution, final handover, and client satisfaction documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the steel fabrication industry
- Proven experience managing large-scale structural steel projects
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, erection, and project management processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
