Key ResponsibilitiesProject Engineering & Execution
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day engineering and construction activities across assigned work areas.
- Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project schedules, and contractual requirements.
- Plan, organize, and monitor work activities to achieve project milestones within the approved programme.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers to ensure workfront readiness, resource availability, and uninterrupted project execution.
- Review engineering drawings, shop drawings, and technical documents prior to implementation.
- Identify and resolve engineering and construction issues to minimize delays and maintain productivity.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineers, QA/QC, HSSE, Planning, Procurement, Quantity Surveying, and MEP teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage subcontractor activities, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Liaise with Consultants, Clients, and Authorities to obtain technical approvals, inspections, and project clearances.
- Participate in progress review meetings and provide engineering updates, risk assessments, and action plans.
Planning & Progress Monitoring
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress against the approved baseline programme.
- Identify potential delays and implement corrective or recovery measures in coordination with the Planning Engineer.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and construction materials.
- Support look-ahead planning and resource forecasting to maintain project continuity.
Technical Management
- Provide technical guidance to Site Engineers and supervisory staff during project execution.
- Review Requests for Information (RFIs), technical submittals, material approvals, and engineering correspondence.
- Ensure implementation of approved shop drawings and engineering revisions.
- Coordinate design clarifications with consultants and engineering teams whenever required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in building construction projects.
- UAE construction experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
- Strong knowledge of UAE building regulations, construction methodologies, and engineering standards.
