JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Accountant / Analyst to be based in Dubai, UAE.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure all accounting entries within the individual’s area of control (i.e., project, contract, service line) are recorded accurately and timely. This involves providing timely financial data reports internally to business stakeholders and externally to clients. The role also focuses on analyzing financial data, creating visualizations, and presenting findings.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate preparation of all accounting entries in line with corporate deadlines.
Prepare invoices promptly according to contract terms.
Manage cash flow effectively and accurately.
Calculate billing and cost rates, analyze margins to manage profitability.
Prepare annual plans and quarterly reforecasts in collaboration with Business Management and Finance teams.
Focus on cash collection, optimize DSO, minimize unbilled items, and ensure proper reconciliation and control of balance sheet areas.
Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to identify trends and anomalies.
Develop and maintain databases and tools for managing financial data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure analysis accuracy.
Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate financial insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Accounting
CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent (preferable)
Data Analytics or Language Certifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
At least 3 years of financial analysis experience
Proficient in Excel
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar
Strong commercial acumen
Experience with systems such as Oracle
Data analytics skillset
