Procurement Officer – Construction / MEP / Pools, Landscaping & Water Features
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer to handle procurement activities for our construction, MEP, swimming pool, water feature, fountain, landscaping, and related projects in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Review BOQs, drawings, specifications, and material requests.
- Send RFQs and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare quotation comparison sheets and recommend suitable suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery periods, discounts, warranties, and commercial conditions.
- Prepare and follow up Purchase Orders.
- Coordinate technical documents, material submittals, catalogues, samples, and approvals.
- Follow up suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams, Stores, and Accounts.
- Monitor long-lead items and urgently required materials.
- Verify invoices, delivery notes, quantities, and PO details.
- Source alternative suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain supplier database and procurement records.
- Assist with local and international purchasing, freight, and logistics where required.
Materials / Categories
The candidate may handle procurement of:
- Pumps, filters, dosing systems, UV systems, heat pumps
- Fountain and swimming pool equipment
- Pipes, fittings, valves, electrical panels, cables, and accessories
- Concrete, reinforcement steel, waterproofing, construction chemicals
- Tiles, stone, stainless steel, acrylic, GRP tanks
- Landscaping and irrigation materials
- Civil and MEP materials and subcontract works
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years UAE procurement experience in construction, MEP, swimming pools, water features, landscaping, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of UAE suppliers and market prices.
- Ability to understand BOQs, drawings, specifications, and technical data sheets.
- Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and quotation comparison preparation.
- Good English communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and urgent procurement requirements.
- Engineering or technical background is preferred.
- Experience with international procurement and logistics is an advantage.
Preferred Candidate
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, commercially strong, and technically aware, and who can independently manage the procurement process from RFQ and negotiation through Purchase Order, delivery, and invoice coordination.
