Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure all ingredients, packaging, equipment, and services are of the highest quality and delivered on time.
We’re seeking someone focused on increasing productivity by introducing smart sourcing solutions and agile services to decrease manual work.
The ideal candidate has excellent analytical skills, leadership qualities, technical knowledge of food equipment and ingredients, and the ability to identify profitable offers, evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and prepare reports.
They should be well-versed in supply management principles and practices.
The goal is to ensure smooth operations across various channels, aiming for maximum efficiency with outstanding service levels, optimal costs, and inventory levels.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage procurement activities for capital equipment, services, food ingredients, and packaging within assigned categories and locations.
Collaborate with the project team to establish requirements and execute the full sourcing process aligned with technical scope.
Develop, lead, and implement sourcing strategies for food and non-food items.
Work closely with Operations, Automation, and Maintenance teams to facilitate quick procurement decisions for assets and equipment.
Track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and enhance effectiveness.
Communicate with stakeholders (Supply chain, Engineering, Finance, Kitchen) to ensure clear requirements and documentation.
Forecast market trends and prices to understand buyer-supplier dynamics.
Perform cost analysis, scenario planning, and benchmarking.
Partner with reliable vendors and suppliers for kitchen equipment and services.
Monitor demand levels and plan delivery schedules accordingly.
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a procurement officer or similar role.
Knowledge of the Saudi inbound logistics cycle.
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
Interest in market dynamics and business acumen.
Strong negotiation and networking skills.
Ability to analyze data and make solid judgments.
Effective decision-making capabilities.
Strong leadership qualities.
