Job Description:
We are seeking an Arabic-speaking Procurement Manager for a construction company in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of materials, equipment, and services, and maintaining product quality while achieving competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Request Review
Verify item numbers, work orders, project manager signatures, material descriptions, and quantities.
Compare prices with previous suppliers and ensure correct match between materials, purchase requests, and quotations.
Assess price quotations and ensure the lowest price is selected, considering quality and supplier stability.
Check Requests Review
Verify request details, payment authorization, and supplier documents (business license, tax certificate).
Ensure compliance with company policies for guarantee cheques.
Cash Invoices Review
Assess material prices, project status, and supplier approval for cash purchases.
Review annual cash purchases for each supplier.
Supplier Management
Maintain communication with suppliers, evaluate new suppliers, and manage credit terms.
Monitor supplier payments and source new suppliers as needed.
Warehouse Supervision
Ensure weekly warehouse checks for proper documentation, material availability, and organization.
Update material data and ensure stock levels are monitored.
Other Tasks
Coordinate with the purchasing team and project managers.
Resolve supplier/contractor issues and manage urgent requests.
Work on department development, process improvements, and staff management.
Approve credit and clearance certificates and submit quarterly reports to the GM.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 15 years in procurement, with 5 years in a managerial role in construction.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of procurement regulations and management systems.
Proficient in Arabic and English (native Arabic speaker preferred).
Salary:
AED 30,000 per month.
