Procurement Engineer Jobs in Ras al-Khaimah at METALFAB MIDDLE EAST FZ LLC
We are looking for a Procurement Engineer with experience in procurement within the oilfield equipment, pressure vessel or heavy fabrication industry. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing suppliers and ensuring procurement activities meet project, quality and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure materials, equipment and services as per project specifications and company procedures.
- Review technical requirements, drawings and specifications before issuing RFQs.
- Evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, delivery schedules and commercial terms.
- Manage purchase orders, supplier follow-ups and delivery expediting.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Stores and Finance teams.
- Support supplier qualification, evaluation, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Ensure supplier compliance with documentation and quality requirements (MTCs, ITPs, NDT reports, etc.).
- Maintain procurement records and support audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience in pressure vessel, oilfield equipment or heavy fabrication industries.
- Knowledge of ASME, API, AWS and NACE standards is preferred.
- Experience in supplier evaluation and coordination with Quality teams is an advantage.
- Good negotiation, communication and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
