Process Controller / Control Room Operator (CCR Operator) Jobs in Doha at SFAI Qatar
Plant Operation & Process Control
- Operate and monitor SWRO plant processes through DCS/SCADA systems.
- Control plant parameters such as:
o Intake and pretreatment systems
o DAF and ultrafiltration units
o High-pressure pumps
o RO trains
o Chemical dosing systems
o Product water and distribution systems
- Respond to alarms and process deviations.
- Take corrective actions to maintain stable operation.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Record operational data and prepare shift reports.
- Monitor water quality parameters.
- Analyze plant performance trends.
- Maintain accurate operational logs.
Coordination
- Coordinate with field operators during plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency situations.
- Supervise field activities from the control room.
- Communicate operational changes to maintenance and operations teams.
Maintenance Support
- Assist maintenance teams during troubleshooting and equipment isolation.
- Participate in calibration of instruments and process equipment.
- Support preventive maintenance activities.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow HSE procedures and permit-to-work requirements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and water quality regulations.
- Report abnormal conditions immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in:
o Chemical Engineering
o Mechanical Engineering
o Electrical Engineering
o Process Technology
o Water Treatment Technology
- Technical or trade qualification with relevant desalination experience may also be accepted.
Experience Requirements
- Typically 3–5 years or more in:
o SWRO desalination plants
o Water treatment plants
o Wastewater treatment plants
o Process industries (chemical, power, oil & gas)
- Experience operating DCS, SCADA, PLC systems.
- Knowledge of water treatment chemistry and chemical dosing systems.
Pay: QAR6,800.00 – QAR7,800.00 per hour
