We are seeking an experienced Yacht Chef with a strong background in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine to join a private yacht in Qatar. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in the GCC region and be skilled in preparing high-quality meals for yacht owners, guests, and crew while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, presentation, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare a variety of Mediterranean and Italian dishes, catering to the preferences of the yacht owner and guests.
Ensure all meals are cooked to perfection with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Manage the yacht’s galley operations, including provisioning, stock management, and budgeting.
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the galley.
Adjust menus based on dietary restrictions, guest preferences, and seasonal ingredients.
Work closely with the crew to ensure seamless meal service, coordinating with stewards for guest dining arrangements.
Prepare meals for special occasions, themed dinners, and events on board.
Maintain proper storage and inventory of food supplies, ensuring minimal waste.
Adapt to dynamic schedules and changing guest requirements with flexibility and efficiency.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in the GCC region as a chef in luxury yachts, private households, or high-end restaurants.
Strong expertise in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine with an innovative approach to plating and presentation.
Previous experience working on yachts or in a high-end hospitality environment.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP certification is a plus).
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, confined environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with crew members.
Professional culinary training or relevant certifications are preferred.
Flexibility to travel and work long hours as per the yacht’s schedule.
