Principal Consultant – Operations Digital Transformation

Overview:We are seeking a Principal Consultant with 15+ years of experience and proven expertise in leading operations transformation by leveraging cross-domain automation and observability insights in large Tier 1 telecom operators or global service providers such as Vodafone, Orange, NTT, Sing Tel, Rakuten, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or similar. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing network operationsdigital transformation, including process change, people skills evolution and leveraging state of the art digital platforms.
This role requires operations domain expertise across SP networks, including domain and cross-domain automation and observability tools and concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategy and execution of anetwork operationsdigital transformationinitiativefor a majorregional Service Provider (SP)across all network domains (Core, Access, Transport, Edge, Service/Application Layer, and Network Management/Orchestration) toward achievingautonomous network operations(as defined by TM Forum) while delivering within the customer agreed SLA / SLO / OKR / BVRs.
Oversee the current operational process transformationto take advantage of new digital technology leveraging and 3rd party technologies, using industry best practice frameworks such as ITIL, TM Forum, SRE, and Dev Ops.
Plan and execute the operations team skills evolutionto ensure proper adoption of the new digital eco-system tools and processes, leveraging skills such as Agile practices, Software development, Data science, Data engineering, and AI.
Collaborate with Services Deliveryto design and implement a future-proof architecture supporting digital operations, leveraging 3rd party automation and observability products such as Thousands of Eyes, Accedian, Splunk, Crosswork Network Services Orchestra tor, Crossworkoptimizationengine and advanced AI/ML-based solutions, across core, access, transport, and cloud domains.
Own the roadmapto achieve higher network operationalautonomyin accordance with the customer objective by leveraging concepts such as network self-healing, service-centric assurance, and closed-loop automation.
Collaborate with CXO and Executives:Partner with C-suite executives and key decision-makers in customer’s telecom and cloud operation organizations to define and execute strategic network operations evolution roadmap. Provide visionaryleadershipin delivering AI-driven solutions and automation across multivendor, multi-cloud ecosystems.
Alignment with TM Forum Standards:Ensure that all automation and transformation initiatives align with TM Forum’s Autonomous Networks Framework and digital maturity models.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience in SP operations and Managed services and relevant industry frameworks such as TMF, ITIL, Infrastructure-as-Code, SRE, Software Delivery Methodology.
Experience with leading process transformation to adopt digital tools and platforms.
Experience with leading workforce skills transformation to adopt digital tools and processes.
