Position Title: Port Pilot
Purpose of the Role:
To provide safe, efficient, and professional pilotage services for vessels entering, maneuvering within, and departing port limits, ensuring compliance with applicable maritime regulations, port procedures, and international safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marine science with Second Officer Certificate, or
- Maritime Diploma with Chief Officer Certificate.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 7 years of marine pilotage experience in recognized international ports.
- Demonstrated experience handling and piloting a wide range of vessel types and sizes.
Required Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of IMO regulations, Flag State requirements, and port operational procedures.
- Excellent ship-handling and navigational skills.
- Ability to assess risks and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in modern marine navigation and communication systems.
- Valid GMDSS Certificate.
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
Language Requirements:
- Fluent in English is a must (spoken and written).
Age Requirement:
- Maximum age: 40 years.
Pay: Up to QAR6,000.00 per month
