Job Summary
We are looking for a Plumbing Engineer to oversee the design, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of plumbing and sanitary systems for building and construction projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, MEP coordination, and site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review plumbing systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review plumbing layouts, shop drawings, schematics, and technical details.
- Coordinate plumbing works with architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP services.
- Supervise plumbing installation works at site and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Review contractor/subcontractor drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
- Ensure plumbing works are executed according to project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable UAE standards.
- Monitor site progress and coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering teams.
- Inspect installation of water supply, drainage, sanitary, stormwater, hot water, and related plumbing systems.
- Conduct inspections, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems.
- Prepare inspection requests, testing reports, progress reports, and technical documentation.
- Identify site issues and provide appropriate technical solutions.
- Monitor material requirements and coordinate with procurement and site teams.
- Ensure proper testing of pipes, drainage systems, pumps, tanks, and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and maintain quality standards on site.
- Attend technical meetings and coordinate with consultants and clients when required.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure plumbing works are completed within the required timeframe.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Plumbing Engineering / MEP Engineering or related field.
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in plumbing and MEP construction.
- UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and sanitary systems.
- Good knowledge of UAE building codes and authority requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage site activities effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, airport, industrial, or large-scale building projects.
- Experience coordinating with UAE authorities and consultants is an advantage.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
