Job Summary
The Plumber Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. The role ensures all plumbing works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Install, repair, and replace water supply lines, drainage systems, sanitary fixtures, pipes, valves, pumps, and fittings.
- Diagnose plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, low water pressure, and drainage problems.
- Carry out maintenance of toilets, wash basins, water heaters, faucets, showers, and other plumbing fixtures.
- Respond promptly to emergency plumbing breakdowns and service requests.
- Ensure proper functioning of sewage, drainage, and water supply systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential plumbing issues.
- Read and interpret plumbing drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Coordinate with other maintenance teams (MEP, HVAC, Electrical, Civil) when required.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, materials used, and completed work orders.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow company policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Plumbing or a related trade.
- Certification in plumbing is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of plumbing maintenance experience in the Facility Management industry.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise building maintenance is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fittings, pumps, valves, and drainage systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve plumbing faults efficiently.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with plumbing tools and equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency call-outs.
- Basic English communication skills.
Pay: AED2,000.00 – AED2,300.00 per hour
