About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Systems Engineer to join our Digital Technology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, availability, security, and performance of Operational Technology (OT) systems and infrastructure supporting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role is critical in maintaining core industrial systems, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the OT environment.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Infrastructure
- Administer and maintain enterprise servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and core OT infrastructure.
- Manage operating system configurations, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
- Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services, and access control systems.
- Participate in planning, testing, and implementation of infrastructure enhancements and new technologies.
Operational Support & Service Reliability
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Support OT systems including:
- Server infrastructure
- Workstations
- Patch management
- Antivirus solutions
- Backup and recovery systems
- OT domain services
- Identity and access management
- Administer backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
- Perform routine health checks, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate planned maintenance and system changes with Operations and Maintenance teams.
Security, Compliance & Documentation
- Implement system hardening, patching, antivirus, and access control measures.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, change management processes, and audit recommendations.
Candidate Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience
- 6 years of hands-on experience in Plant Systems Administration, OT infrastructure support, and industrial process control environments.
- Experience supporting OT environments within large industrial, energy, petrochemical, utilities, or manufacturing facilities.
