We are looking for a skilled Asphalt Plant Mechanic to carry out maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting works for asphalt plant equipment and related machinery. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the plant operates efficiently with minimum downtime by performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repair works for asphalt plant equipment.
- Inspect and maintain conveyors, belts, rollers, gearboxes, motors, bearings, elevators, screens, dryer drum, burner components, pumps, valves, and bitumen lines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and carry out urgent repairs to reduce production downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.
- Replace damaged or worn-out parts and ensure proper alignment and fitting.
- Coordinate with the plant operator and maintenance supervisor regarding plant issues.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good condition.
- Assist in plant startup, shutdown, and inspection activities.
- Follow safety procedures during maintenance works, especially lockout/tagout and hot work activities.
- Keep maintenance records and report required spare parts.
