Planning Engineer Jobs in Dubai at Grovy Developer
The Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction and real estate development projects. The role involves project planning, progress tracking, delay analysis, resource planning, and reporting to project management and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
* Prepare baseline programs, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project milestones.
* Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
* Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.
* Prepare recovery plans for delayed activities.
* Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and contractors.
* Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks.
* Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
* Track manpower, equipment, and material resources against project requirements.
* Assist in cost control and earned value analysis.
* Review subcontractor schedules and monitor performance.
* Support extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required.
* Participate in project meetings and present planning updates.
* Ensure compliance with client requirements and contract specifications.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of planning/scheduling experience in construction or real estate projects.
* UAE/GCC experience preferred.
* Experience in high-rise buildings, villas, mixed-use developments, commercial, or residential projects.
Technical Skills
Proficient in *Primavera P6*.
Good knowledge of *Microsoft Project*.
Strong skills in *Microsoft Excel* and reporting tools.
Understanding of project management principles and scheduling techniques.
Knowledge of delay analysis, EOT claims, and resource loading.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
* Good coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Project Management (PMP) is an advantage.
Membership in professional engineering organizations is a plus.
Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and industry standards.
