The Physiotherapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering evidence-based physiotherapy treatments to patients, with a particular focus on manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), post-operative rehabilitation, and maderotherapy/body contouring therapies. The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) regulations, professional standards, and clinic policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) for patients with lymphedema, post-operative swelling, and edema management.
- Deliver post-operative rehabilitation for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery patients, including liposuction, abdominoplasty, breast surgery, and other aesthetic procedures.
- Perform maderotherapy (wood therapy) for body contouring, lymphatic stimulation, and cellulite reduction where clinically indicated.
- Apply appropriate manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, self-care techniques, and recovery plans.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Patient Care
- Ensure patient safety, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
- Obtain informed consent before treatment.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment goals and expected outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Valid license/eligibility to practice as a Physiotherapist in Qatar (DHP/MOPH) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certification or documented training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD).
- Certification or formal training in Maderotherapy (Wood Therapy) is highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of clinical physiotherapy experience.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
- Post-operative physiotherapy following plastic and reconstructive surgery
- Maderotherapy (Wood Therapy)
- Edema and lymphedema management
- Manual therapy techniques

- Strong patient education and customer service skills.
