The role of an Accounts and Procurement Officer combines accounting responsibilities with procurement duties, ensuring efficient financial management and effective purchasing processes within an organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties:
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
Prepare and maintain financial documents such as invoices, bills, and bank statements.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial objectives.
Handle general administrative tasks as needed.
Procurement Duties:
Manage vendor relationships and negotiations.
Handle purchase orders and inventory control.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers.
Evaluate supplier prices and quality.
Optimize procurement processes for cost efficiency.
Maintain procurement documentation and records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant, with at least 2 years in a purchasing role.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of UAE accounting regulations and procurement processes is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 – AED4,000.00 per month
