Job Summary
Responsible for receiving and processing customer orders at a street food stall or food truck. Involves interacting with customers, accurately recording their orders, and coordinating with the kitchen staff for preparation. Providing a positive customer experience and ensuring efficient operations during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities
1. Greet customers warmly as they approach the food stall or food truck, engaging with them in a friendly and courteous manner.
2. Assist customers in selecting menu items, providing recommendations, and answering questions about ingredients, flavors, and portion sizes.
3. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all special requests and modifications are recorded correctly.
4. Verify order details with customers to confirm accuracy before finalizing the transaction.
5. Communicate customer orders to the kitchen staff or food preparation team promptly, ensuring that they are prepared in the order received.
6. Coordinate with kitchen staff to prioritize orders during peak service periods and ensure that all orders are completed within the expected timeframe.
7. Monitor order status and provide updates to customers as needed, including estimated wait times for order completion.
8. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and courteously, resolving issues to the best of your ability or escalating them to a supervisor if necessary.
9. Ensure that customers receive prompt and efficient service at all times, striving to exceed their expectations and enhance their dining experience.
10. Thank customers for their patronage and invite them to return to the food stall or food truck in the future.
11. Familiarize yourself with the food stall or food truck’s menu offerings, including shawarma wraps, platters, and side dishes.
12. Stay informed about menu changes, specials, and promotions to provide accurate information to customers and make appropriate recommendations.
13. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the order counter, POS station, and surrounding areas, including wiping down surfaces, organizing menus, and disposing of trash.
14. Ensure that menus, promotional materials, and other customer-facing materials are stocked and displayed neatly for easy access.
15. Performs other duties assigned.
Qualification, Experience & Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in food service, preferably in street food or fast-casual restaurant environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Familiarity with POS systems or order
- Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating bills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: QAR1,500.00 – QAR1,800.00 per month
