Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Control

• Develop and implement monthly, weekly, and daily production plans.
• Ensure timely manufacturing of LV/MV switchboards, distribution boards, MCCs, PCCs, synchronization panels, capacitor banks, ATS panels, and control panels.
• Monitor production schedules and prioritize jobs based on delivery commitments.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources.
• Minimize production bottlenecks and downtime.

2. Manufacturing Operations

• Oversee fabrication, copper busbar assembly, wiring, assembly, testing, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Monitor production efficiency and improve manufacturing productivity.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

3. Resource Management

• Plan manpower requirements across fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing, QA/QC, logistics, and stores.
• Allocate workforce based on project priorities.
• Monitor overtime and labor productivity.
• Develop succession plans and skill enhancement programs.

4. Material Planning & Inventory Control

• Coordinate with Procurement and Stores to ensure material availability.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.
• Ensure timely procurement of long-lead items.
• Reduce material wastage and improve inventory turnover.
• Monitor critical components such as breakers, busbars, relays, CTs, meters, VFDs, PLCs, etc.

5. Quality Management

• Ensure compliance with IEC, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, EtihadWE, and consultant requirements.
• Implement quality control procedures throughout production.
• Ensure all switchgear undergoes FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
• Reduce rework, NCRs, and customer complaints.
• Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

6. Project Coordination

• Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Procurement, Production, QA/QC, Logistics, and Sales.
• Review project schedules and monitor manufacturing progress.
• Ensure on-time project completion.
• Conduct weekly project review meetings.

7. Cost Control

• Monitor manufacturing costs.
• Control labor, material, and overhead costs.
• Improve production efficiency.
• Reduce scrap and rework.
• Optimize machine utilization.

8. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations.
• Promote a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety inspections.
• Ensure proper use of PPE.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

9. Continuous Improvement

• Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
• Improve production workflow.
• Eliminate waste.
• Reduce cycle time.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

10. Customer & Consultant Coordination

• Support client inspections and factory visits.
• Attend FAT with consultants and clients.
• Resolve manufacturing-related issues.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.

11. Performance Monitoring

Monitor KPIs including:

• Production Output
• On-Time Delivery (OTD)
• Manufacturing Efficiency
• Productivity
• Rework Percentage
• Quality Rejection Rate
• Material Wastage
• Machine Utilization
• Labor Productivity
• Factory Profitability

12. Team Leadership

• Lead Production, Planning, QA/QC, Stores, Logistics, Maintenance, and Factory Administration.
• Conduct regular team meetings.
• Coach and mentor supervisors and engineers.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Authority

The Operations Manager is authorized to:

• Allocate production resources and manpower.
• Approve production schedules.
• Coordinate procurement priorities.
• Stop production for quality or safety concerns.
• Recommend recruitment, promotions, training, and disciplinary actions.
• Approve overtime within the approved budget.
• Escalate major operational risks to senior management.

Pay: AED13,000.00 – AED15,000.00 per month
