The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading all brokerage operations. The role requires expert-level knowledge of post-trade processes, DVP and trade settlement, custody, client onboarding, corporate actions and regulatory compliance within the UAE financial regulatory environment & play a pivotal role in ensuring the firm meets the highest standards of operational control, risk management, and service delivery to UAE-based institutional clients.
Key Must Haves :

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all back-office and middle-office operational functions related to UAE-based trading and settlement activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of trade settlement, reconciliation, cash and securities transfers, and corporate actions, primarily on UAE exchanges.
- Oversee end-to-end operational setup of institutional clients in compliance with SCA regulations.
- Act as the main operations liaison with UAE exchanges, custodians, global intermediaries and clearinghouses.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements including SCA, AML, and client asset segregation rules.
- Implement robust operational controls to manage local and global market-specific risks and ensure audit readiness.
- Drive process optimization and automation within the UAE operational environment to improve efficiency and reduce error rates.
- Support institutional relationship managers and front-office teams in resolving client queries and trade-related issues quickly and accurately.
- Prepare regular operational and regulatory reports for submission to SCA and internal governance committees.
- Coordinate closely with IT and Compliance to ensure operational systems and procedures are aligned with local market requirements.
- Mentor and develop operations staff with a strong focus on institutional service delivery in the UAE market context.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Advanced certifications (CISI, CPA, or MBA) are preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial operations, with at least 5 years focused on UAE capital markets and institutional clients.
- Deep understanding of DFM, ADX frameworks, including trade settlement cycles and DVP operations, custodial practices, and exchange regulations.
- Strong familiarity with UAE’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) rules and reporting requirements.
- Experience interacting with UAE-based custodians, brokers, and market infrastructure providers.
- Proven ability to manage operational risk and compliance in a regulated financial environment.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and team management capabilities.
