Online Order Packaging Jobs in Sharjah at On Mart Hypermarket LLC
Key Responsibilities
- Order Verification & Quality Control: Inspect picked items to ensure correct quantities, sizes, and variants match the digital order manifest. Check for any defects, leaks, or product damage before packing.
- Secure Packaging: Select the correct box, mailer, or crate size based on order dimensions. Wrap fragile items (e.g., glass, electronics, liquids) securely using bubble wrap, air pillows, or specialized inserts to avoid damage during transit.
- System Scanning & Documentation: Use handheld barcode scanners to update inventory systems in real-time, generate invoices/packing slips, and ensure the correct paperwork is included inside every package.
- Shipping Labels & Sorting: Print and accurately apply shipping labels (such as DHL, Aramex, Talabat, or internal delivery networks). Sort packed orders into designated courier bins or staging areas.
- Station Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked packing station with boxes, tape, and padding materials to maximize daily output.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in retail fulfillment, e-commerce operations, or warehouse packing is highly preferred.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with handheld RF (Radio Frequency) scanners, basic inventory tracking software, or e-commerce seller portals.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in reading order slips, matching SKUs, and spotting damaged inventory.
- Speed and Stamina: Ability to maintain a fast, efficient pace to meet daily order dispatch cut-off times.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand or walk for extended shifts and lift packages ranging from light mailers to heavier stock boxes (up to 15–20 kg).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Order Accuracy Rate: Maintaining a near-zero error rate on packed items.
- Packing Speed (Throughput): Meeting hourly or daily target counts for packed boxes.
- Damage-in-Transit Rate: Minimizing customer complaints regarding poorly secured or broken goods upon delivery.
