Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and versatile Mechanical / Electrical Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance team. This role is responsible for the daily hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical water treatment systems, including Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, water softeners, and UV disinfection facilities.
A significant portion of this role involves servicing medical and hospital environments, requiring a high level of reliability, attention to hygiene standards, and the ability to maintain critical ultrapure water systems without disrupting facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on all mechanical and electrical components (pumps, valves, blowers, dosing systems, and control panels).
• System Troubleshooting: Swiftly diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns and electrical faults to minimize system downtime.
• Specialized Water Treatment Operations: Execute Clean-in-Place (CIP) chemical cleaning procedures for RO membranes, recharge/backwash water softeners, and replace UV lamps and quartz sleeves.
2. Hospital & Medical Facility Compliance
• Ultrapure Water Oversight: Monitor, maintain, and log parameters for medical-grade and ultrapure water systems, ensuring strict compliance with hospital and healthcare water quality standards.
• Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to rigorous infection control, health, safety, and environmental standards required when working inside active medical facilities and wastewater plants.
3. Site Logs & Reporting
• Data Tracking: Maintain accurate daily logs of water quality parameters, chemical consumption, pressure differentials, and maintenance work orders.
• Team Coordination: Work closely with the O&M Engineer / Coordinator to report site conditions, spare parts requirements, and potential operational risks.
