Job Summary
We are seeking an ADNOC-approved Offshore Lifting Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all lifting operations at offshore project sites. The successful candidate will ensure that all lifting activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with ADNOC standards, project requirements, and applicable HSE regulations. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage lifting teams in a challenging offshore environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and control all offshore lifting operations in accordance with ADNOC lifting procedures and project requirements.
- Ensure all lifting activities are planned, executed, and completed safely and efficiently.
- Verify that approved lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements are properly implemented on-site.
- Coordinate with the Appointed Person, Crane Operators, Riggers, Banksmen, and other relevant personnel.
- Conduct pre-lift meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings before lifting activities commence.
- Inspect lifting equipment, accessories, and cranes to ensure they are certified, fit for use, and compliant with ADNOC requirements.
- Assess offshore environmental conditions, including weather, sea state, deck conditions, and operational constraints before and during lifting activities.
- Monitor lifting operations to ensure adherence to safe work practices and HSE requirements.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel involved in lifting activities.
- Immediately stop any unsafe lifting operation and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, inspections, permits, and daily reports.
- Support incident investigations related to lifting operations and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Offshore regulations, company procedures, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- ADNOC-approved Lifting Supervisor certification (mandatory).
- Minimum 3–5 years of offshore lifting supervision experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of offshore lifting operations, rigging practices, crane operations, and safety regulations.
- Ability to interpret lifting plans, method statements, load charts, and risk assessments.
- Familiarity with ADNOC Offshore standards and lifting procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a demanding offshore environment and maintain high safety standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Technical/Vocational Certification.
- Valid ADNOC-approved Lifting Supervisor Certification.
- Additional certifications such as HSE Training, First Aid, Offshore Survival (BOSIET/FOET), and H2S Awareness are advantageous.
- Valid medical fitness certification for offshore work, if required.
