Job Purpose

The purpose of the Marketing Manager role is to support new and LFL sales in the local store and online estate by creating and implementing marketing plans and campaigns. Success in the role is marketing which drives metrics for footfall, social impressions, web visits and in-store and digital sales.

In the Marketing team in any country, like the whole of team Knoops around the world, we are all ambassadors for our brand and for expertly crafted chocolate drinks.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and reporting on marketing plans to drive footfall, brand awareness and sales for drinks in-store and retail. As a small team, the role involves the ability to happily flex between strategic planning and practical campaign implementation.

Marketing campaigns and promotions framework will be provided by Knoops Global. The job to be done for the Marketing Manager is to schedule and implement in line with the local business plan and the local cultural calendar, and to keep a robust reporting framework.

Campaign leadership
Create and implement an annual marketing calendar including seasonal marketing campaigns across stores and online
Support new store openings with marketing campaigns to ensure a busy opening and optimal footfall
Run marketing campaigns to acquire & convert new customers for DTC and app use
Ensure seasonal Knoopology / NPD is introduced to the operational team in an effective way
Collaborate with Global Marketing Manager to leverage global marketing plans and creative assets
Adapt Global creative for local use, where required
Manage any creative development in line with brand guidelines and campaign content
Ensure media and partnership enquiries are aligned with the brand and broader business objectives

POS

Use Global Marketing Visual Merchandising Guildelines and Marketing Standards; adapt seasonally and communicate to Operations teams
Drive POS (Visual Merchandising and Marketing Standards) standards within the business through monthly audits & share results monthly

Digital

Grow loyalty email database for newsletter and app, setting and aiming to exceed annual targets
Target 3%+ sales mix on the app via marketing
Email the database 1/month, at minimum
Grow a viral and vibrant social media community on Instagram and LinkedIn using the global content provided, plus local adaptation where it will add value

Brand / PR

Support the PR agency to deliver their objectives by proactive and timely sharing of campaign information and new store information
Lead PR strategy plans with Country Head and ensure objectives are met and on track via monthly reports and weekly status reports
Facilitate the approval of press releases and other agency output, ensuring information is accurate and presents the brand appropriately
Act as the Customer Happiness champion: respond to all customer queries in social media, Google My Business, Trip Advisor (& other local review platforms), email and telephone within Gorgias and share monthly and quarterly effectiveness reports

Management & Reporting

Produce monthly effectiveness reports to track in-store, digital and PR campaign performance
Produce quarterly management reports on marketing effectiveness and ‘the quarter ahead’ plans
Lead monthly meetings on behalf of your local market with Global Marketing team
Act as the brand guardian for all assets created internally and externally
Manage the marketing budget and report on this quarterly
Manage external suppliers/freelancers/agencies as required – eg design, CRM, social etc.
