MEP Site Engineer – Interior Fit-Out
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MEP Site Engineer to supervise and coordinate MEP works for interior fit-out projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works are executed on-site according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily MEP installation works on-site and ensure works are completed according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate MEP works with architectural, civil, ceiling, joinery, and fit-out activities to avoid clashes and delays.
- Review MEP drawings and shop drawings before site execution and identify technical or coordination issues.
- Coordinate and supervise MEP subcontractors and site teams.
- Monitor daily site progress and ensure activities are completed according to the project schedule.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure required quality and safety standards are followed.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and follow up on comments and approvals.
- Monitor MEP materials required on-site and coordinate with procurement for timely delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MEP-related site issues quickly.
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover of MEP systems.
- Maintain site records, inspection documents, progress reports, and as-built information.
- Report site progress, delays, technical issues, and material requirements to the Project Manager/MEP Project Engineer.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
- 3–5+ years of MEP site experience, preferably in UAE interior fit-out projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems.
- Good understanding of MEP drawings, shop drawings, and fit-out coordination.
- Familiarity with UAE regulations, authority requirements, and MEP standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; Revit MEP is an advantage.
- Strong site coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
