Job Summary:
BECON GROUP is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Sales Engineer – MEP to join its trading division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting a diverse portfolio of mechanical products such as pipes, valves, fittings, flanges, and other MEP items, targeting industrial, infrastructure, and building projects across Qatar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell Becon’s mechanical product range including piping systems, valves, flanges, and fittings.
- Identify new clients and develop strong relationships with consultants, contractors, EPC companies, and project owners.
- Handle project sales, BOQ take-offs, quotation preparation, and technical submittals.
- Track ongoing tenders, construction projects, and key procurement opportunities in the Qatar market.
- Ensure coordination with internal departments for inventory, pricing, order processing, and logistics.
- Conduct product presentations and provide technical clarification/support to clients.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to help shape Becon’s sales strategy.
- Ensure timely follow-up on quotations, project approvals, deliveries, and payment collections.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in MEP/trading sales (pipes, valves, fittings) in Qatar & GCC region.
- Strong understanding of piping systems and specifications related to HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing.
- Existing client base or strong industry network in Qatar construction or oil & gas sector preferred.
- Valid Qatar Driving License is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems and project tracking tools.
Key Skills Required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Strong negotiation, client relationship, and closing skills.
- Ability to read and understand project drawings and specifications.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to meet targets independently.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
