MEP Estimator (Electrical Background)
Location: Qatar
We are hiring an experienced MEP Estimator (Electrical Background) to prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP systems across various construction and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents (electrical focus)
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and material take-offs
- Identify project risks, gaps, and value engineering opportunities
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams
- Support bid submissions, budgeting, and cost control
- Maintain cost databases and estimation records
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in MEP estimation
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and codes
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience working on GCC projects
- Familiarity with local standards and regulations
