MEP Coordinator Jobs in Dubai at NIMSMARTS TECHNICAL SERVICES
We are seeking a highly experienced MEP Coordinator to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities throughout all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The candidate should possess excellent technical knowledge, leadership skills, and extensive experience in coordinating MEP works on large-scale projects in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV works with civil, architectural, and structural disciplines.
- Review and coordinate MEP shop drawings, coordinated drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Identify and resolve design clashes through coordination meetings and BIM/AutoCAD reviews.
- Ensure all MEP installations comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and international standards.
- Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure quality workmanship and timely project execution.
- Monitor project progress, prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, and address technical issues proactively.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and final handover of MEP systems.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and other UAE regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate procurement schedules and material deliveries to meet project milestones.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support the Project Manager in achieving project objectives related to cost, quality, and schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience as an MEP Coordinator in construction projects, with UAE experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Drainage, Water Supply, and ELV systems.
- Experience coordinating high-rise, commercial, residential, hospitality, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Revit/BIM coordination tools is preferred.
- Excellent understanding of local authority requirements, including DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid UAE Driving License is preferred.
