Medical Leadership and Management:

  • Participate in preparing the hospital’s strategic plan from the medical perspective, linking them to national health goals and approved indicators.
  • Lead the development and updating of medical and clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Ministry of Health regulations, accreditation requirements, and approved international standards.
  • Provide strategic oversight of all medical and specialized departments to ensure performance efficiency and achievement of health goals, quality indicators, and approved safety standards.
  • Coordinate integrated work between medical and administrative departments to ensure service flow, improve patient experience, and enhance institutional operational efficiency.
  • Lead national health accreditation processes and ensure medical departments are ready and meet requirements for evaluation and supervisory visits.
  • Encourage scientific and research activities and participation in medical conferences to keep pace with scientific developments and improve treatment outcomes.
  • Address complex medical issues and clinical complaints, resolving them within regulatory frameworks while ensuring the rights of patients and practitioners.
  • Act as an effective liaison between medical staff and senior management to communicate medical challenges and proposals and support appropriate decision-making.
  • Participate regularly in senior management meetings, providing medical opinions and advice based on scientific evidence and best practices.

Quality and Safety Assurance

  • Ensure implementation of clinical governance principles and promote a culture of quality and patient safety across all hospital medical units and departments.
  • Supervise the implementation of clinical quality improvement programs, analyze medical performance indicators, and develop continuous corrective and improvement plans.
  • Monitor the application of patient safety systems, reporting of medical incidents and sentinel events, root cause analysis, and implementation of appropriate preventive measures.
  • Supervise infection control programs and ensure compliance with preventive procedures and environmental safety standards within medical facilities.
  • Participate in preparing and updating emergency and disaster medical plans and ensure training of medical staff on effective response mechanisms.
  • Support digital transformation in medical services and implementation of electronic health systems to enhance care efficiency and medical data accuracy.
  • Monitor compliance with patient rights requirements and promote effective communication and shared decision-making in treatment within the healthcare facility.
  • Supervise compliance with occupational safety standards and protection of healthcare workers from various biological and occupational hazards.

Medical Human Resources Management

  • Supervise performance evaluation of physicians, technicians, and healthcare practitioners according to professional competency standards, scopes of practice, and approved policies.
  • Ensure medical and technical staff adhere to medical professional ethics, codes of conduct, and regulatory instructions issued by competent authorities.
  • Supervise planning of medical and technical staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage of health services and continuity of care.
  • Participate in recruitment and appointment procedures for medical and technical staff according to approved standards and in compliance with employment regulations and policies.
  • Support and implement continuing medical education and professional development programs to enhance staff competency and improve clinical practice quality.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and transparency in medical performance and ensure application of disciplinary systems when documented professional violations occur.
  • Contribute to developing medical and educational partnerships with relevant entities to support sustainability of health services and develop competencies.

Clinical Services Supervision

  • Coordinate integrated work between medical and administrative departments to ensure service flow, improve patient experience, and enhance institutional operational efficiency.
  • Review and approve clinical policies, treatment plans, and medical protocols to ensure suitability for patient needs and modern standards.
  • Monitor readiness of medical departments to handle emergencies and health crises according to approved plans and coordinate with relevant entities.
  • Supervise implementation of medical risk management systems, reduce clinical errors, and improve safe working environment for staff and patients.
  • Ensure continuity of medical service delivery at the highest quality levels during all hospital operating times and conditions.

Reporting and Follow-up

  • Monitor implementation of improvement plans resulting from health accreditation observations and Ministry of Health visits, ensuring closure of gaps according to specified timelines.
  • Submit technical and administrative recommendations related to improving medical services, developing clinical infrastructure, and rationalizing resource use.
  • Ensure proper documentation of medical records according to approved policies and legal and regulatory requirements of competent authorities.
  • Cooperate with Quality and Risk Management departments in preparing periodic reports, analyzing health data, and making improvement decisions.
  • Monitor implementation of preventive and awareness health programs to promote community health and reduce disease rates.
