Mechanical Engineer – Engineering Consultancy
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review mechanical engineering designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Design and coordinate HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, and other mechanical systems as applicable to the project.
- Prepare mechanical layouts, schematic drawings, equipment layouts, and system diagrams.
- Perform basic heat load calculations, equipment selection, pipe sizing, duct sizing, and pressure-drop calculations.
- Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical requirements to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines.
- Review contractor/shop drawings and material submittals and provide technical comments.
- Attend site inspections and verify that mechanical installations are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify site issues, design discrepancies, and clashes and coordinate with the relevant teams for resolution.
- Prepare technical reports, inspection requests, snag lists, and other project documentation
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge for preparing and modifying mechanical drawings.
- Reading and interpreting HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and mechanical layouts.
- Preparing basic ductwork and piping layouts.
- Preparing equipment layouts and mechanical room layouts.
- Understanding mechanical symbols, legends, dimensions, sections, and details.
- Making revisions to drawings based on site conditions and consultant comments.
- Coordinating mechanical drawings with architectural and other MEP drawings
Pay: AED4,000.00 – AED6,000.00 per month
