Mechanical Draftsman Jobs in Doha at Ibtikar Engineering Consultancy
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate mechanical drawings, coordinating with other disciplines, and supporting the design and construction teams throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems.
- Produce layout drawings, sections, details, schematics, and as-built drawings.
- Revise and update drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and client comments.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines to ensure all drawings are fully coordinated and clash-free.
- Prepare drawings for authority submissions and construction documentation.
- Assist engineers in preparing technical drawings and project documentation.
- Visit project sites to verify dimensions, collect site information, and update drawings based on actual site conditions.
- Support the site team by resolving drawing-related issues during construction.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and company standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman, preferably in an engineering consultancy.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with Revit MEP is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems.
- Familiarity with local authority requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
