Mechanical Design Engineer – Static Equipment Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Arab Solutions
Job Summary
Responsible for the mechanical design and engineering of static equipment including Quick Release Hooks (QRHs) and associated structural support frames. Ensures compliance with international and client-specific standards, manages technical deliverables, and coordinates across design, fabrication, and installation phases.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review mechanical designs for static equipment such as QRHs and their support structures.
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and specifications including OCIMF, Shell DEP, and Qatar Energy requirements.
Prepare and manage datasheets, load calculations, design reports, and detailed 3D models using industry-standard software.
Lead and participate in design reviews with the client, classification societies, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure timely submission of high-quality design deliverables as per project schedules.
Coordinate with fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
Support installation and commissioning teams during the marine execution phase.
Resolve technical queries and interface issues during design and execution phases.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical design of static equipment in the oil & gas or marine industry.
Proven expertise in QRH systems, structural supports, and compliance with OCIMF and Shell DEP standards.
Proficient in 3D modeling and design tools (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, ANSYS, or similar).
Experience in coordinating with fabrication workshops and marine installation teams.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
